Prayer Impact: FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Why the funny symbol?
The symbol or logo used for Prayer Impact is the Greek letter PI, hence Prayer Impact. We hope to display this logo all over Petersfield so that people will be curious about it and then seek to understand what it is all about!

What is Prayer Impact?
In almost every street in Petersfield there are Christians. Prayer Impact will bring Christians from different churches together to pray for those living in their street.

Who is organising Prayer Impact?
Prayer Impact is organised by PACT - Petersfield Area Churches Together and is supported by all the member churches of PACT.

What is the purpose of Prayer Impact?
To pray for the well being of people in Petersfield street by street, house by house. It will also raise the profile of the Church in the town and unite Christians across Petersfield.

What will Prayer Impact do?

  • Bring you together with other Christians in your street to pray for your neighbours. Some neighbours you will already know, others you will not. Some will have problems you can pray about immediately, you may learn about other things to pray for as time goes by.

  • You will be given guidelines to help you but these will not be strict rules you must follow.

  • How often you meet and for how long will be up to you and your group. We suggest that you meet once a month for about half an hour, but you can meet more often and for longer.

I am already in a prayer group - how will Prayer Impact effect my group?
If you are already praying with people in your street for your neighbours – that’s wonderful – carry on and let us know what you’re doing!

If you are praying in some other prayer group we really hope that you will also become involved in Prayer Impact; it shouldn't be a major time commitment.
